Day 1 Arrive in Copenhagen

The programme begins at 14.00 at Hotel D’Angleterre in the centre of the city.

Welcome champagne and introductory information about your Nordic Divine Tour. Short afternoon tour of the city comprising: Walk along Ströget from Kongens Nytorv (King’s New Square) to Rådhusplatsen (City Hall Square). Accommodation and dinner at Hotel D’Angleterre – six-course tasting menu.(Hotel D’Angleterre)

Day 2 Discover Copenhagen

Sightseeing including: The Little Mermaid, Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace, Rosenborg Palace and Christiansborg Palace. Lunch on Ströget. Afternoon free for shopping. Evening at the Tivoli Gardens, including dinner. Accommodation at Hotel D’Angleterre .

Day 3 Visit Louisiana and journey to Mölle

Coach via the Karen Blixen Museum to Louisiana and a visit to the Museum of Modern Art. Continue by coach to Helsingör and Kronborg Castle. Lunch in the quaint streets of Helsingör. Ferry to Helsingborg in Sweden where we will be met by a guide and coach. A visit to SofieroPalce and Gardens, sightseeing and coffee. Transport to Mölle-Kullaberg. Day 4 Explore Mölle and journey to Oslo

A visit to the lighthouse - Scaninavias most powerful beacon. Contuine on to Krapperup Manor House which has been in existence since the Middle Ages.Coach to Oslo (5h) with lunchbreak on the way. The evening is spent sightseeing along Karl John´s Gate with dinner at Theatercaféen. Accommodation at Grand Hotel. (Grand Hotel)

Day 5 A rail journey to Flåm - Sognefjorden

Coach to the Munch Museum to view the artistic works of Edvard Munch, including the famous Scream. Coach to Central Station. We begin the round trip “Sognefjord in a nutshell” with a five-hour train journey from Oslo to Myrdal, a journey providing amazing scenery along the way. Lunch on the train.(Fjord tours)

In Myrdal, we change trains for the Flåm Railway and embark on a breathtaking one-and-a-half-hour train journey. Dinner and accommodation at Fretheim Hotel. (Fretheim Hotel)

Day 6 Cruise on fjord, Bergen-Stockholm

We take an express boat out to Sognefjord, on the way we pass magnificient high mountains. Out towards the sea, the scenery becomes more open and there is a varied bird life. We arrive at Begen were there is a free afternoon before boarding the plane to Stockholm. Dinner and accommodation at Grand Hotel. (Grand Hotel)

Day 7 Discover Stockholm

Walk or coach to Djurgården with a visit to Skansen which is an outdoor museum founded in 1891. The mueseum contains some 150 historical buildings from every part of Sweden. Lunch will be at Ulla Winblad which is followed by a short walk round the city of Stockholm. Afternoon is free for shopping or visit the amazing Wasa Museum. Dinner and concert (if possible). Accommodation at Grand Hotel.

 

 

Day 8 Visit to the Royal Palace

Coach to Gamla Stan (Old Town) – sightseeing, the narrow cobbled streets and the Royal Palace. After lunch in Gamla Stan, a visit to City Hall to view Blå Hallen (Blue Hall) where the Nobel Prizes are awarded. Discover Stockholm´s waterfron from the boat that takes us to Drottningholm Palace. It has been the private residence since 1981. Dinner and accommodation at Grand Hotel.

Day 9 Medieval Visby

Morning free for shopping and sightseeing. Coach to Brommar Airport in afternoon to fly to Gotland, Visby. Gotland is Sweden´s largest island, it offers an exciting and varied environment, a meeting place between land and sea, nature and culture. Gotland is also know as the Islands of Roses. Early evening tour in the old town, with dinner at Donners Brun. Accommodation at Wisby Hotel. (Wisby Hotel)

Day 10 Lummelunda Caves - Furillen

Lummelunda Caves - an exciting underground world of beautiful dripstones and fossils. Experince the show cave and travel back 400 million years. We continue our journey towards Furillen with a stop at Lickershamn where we can see Jungfrun, the highest rauk (natural limestone fomrmation) on Gotland. Arriving at Furillen for wine tasting and lunch. Fabriken Furillen is perhaps the most talked-about design hotel in Europe. In the afternoon we return to Visby. Evening is free. Accommodation at Wisby Hotel.

Day 11 Medieval Tour of Visby

Tour of the town’s ancient ruins as well as the medieval wall, which surronds old visby. Afternoon is free for shopping and sightseeing. In the evening, concert and dinner in St Nicholas’ Church Ruins. Accommodation at Wisby Hotel.

Day 12 Arriving to Helsinki

Transportation to Helsinki via Stockholm-Arlanda. Short afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Dinner and accommodation at Kämp Hotel. (Kämp Hotel)

Day 13 Discovering Helsinki

Walk to the harbour and the small marketplace. Round boat trip to Sveaborg. Onwards to Uspenski Cathedral (and mass, if possible). Thereafter, walk to Senatstorget (Senators’ Square) where we will have lunch, and up to Fredriksgatan (Fredrik Street) and Klippkyrkan (Rock Church). Free afternoon and evening. Accommodation at Kämp Hotel.

Day 14 Exploring Hvitträsk

Hvitträsk Museum was built between 1901 and 1903 by the architects Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren och Eliel Saarinen. The main building is designed in National Romantic style. Hvitträsk is also the boyhood home of the world famous architect Eero Saarinen (Eliel’s son) who made his reputation primarily in the United States designing buildings and monuments such as Gateway Arch in St Louis, Missouri. Eliel Saarinen designed the railway station in Helsinki. He also designed the first bank notes after Finland became independent. There are a number of rock paintings on an impressive sheer cliff facing the lake at Hvitträsk. It was composer Jean Sibelius who stumbled across the rock paintings while on a visit to the manor. Lunch at Hvitträsk before heading back to Helsinki. Afternoon is free for shopping. Farwell diner at Kosmos. (Kosmos) Accommodation at Kämp Hotel.

Day 15 Departure from Helsinki

Your Nordic Divine Tour ends in Helsinki, Finland. Fly home anytime.
